Tours & Events

While the Walled City of Lahore Authority (WCLA) is widely acclaimed for its unwavering dedication to the conservation, planning, preservation, and restoration of architectural treasures within Old Lahore, its objectives reach far beyond the mere physical structures. More than just architectural rejuvenation, these efforts symbolise a cultural revival, infusing ancient traditions of Old Lahore with renewed vigour. Through various events and tourism initiatives, WCLA strives to rekindle the fading arts, highlight the quintessence of a lost epoch, and spotlight the rich, enduring culture nestled within Lahore’s historic ramparts.

These events and guided tours are meticulously crafted to forge a connection between these historic edifices and spaces and the public. Spearheading this transformative journey is the Director General of WCLA, Mr. Kamran Lashari, whose forward-thinking leadership facilitated the incorporation of Marketing and Tourism at the core of WCLA’s structure. Presently, WCLA is globally recognised for its carefully orchestrated events and guided tours, attracting aficionados and adventurers from Pakistan and around the world, eager to delve into the living history and cultural treasures that embellish the venerable walled city of Lahore.

Photography Walks

In the pursuit of capturing the spirit of the Walled City of Lahore, the Walled City of Lahore Authority initiated what would soon become a highly popular phenomenon across Pakistan—Photographic Journeys. This innovative voyage commenced in 2012 with WCLA launching its first photography walk along the Royal Trail. The aim was to invite photographers from across the nation to immerse themselves in the historical richness of this age-old city. Now, this event stands as an annual fixture in WCLA's calendar, attracting thousands of photographers to these engaging photographic journeys every year. WCLA prides itself on leading photographers through each gateway, hidden alcove, and undiscovered crevice of the Walled City of Lahore, making it one of the most anticipated occasions in the cultural diary. Initially, these walks attracted mainly DSLR enthusiasts, but as technology advanced, smartphone photographers too have swelled the ranks, adding to the diverse array of viewpoints these journeys present.
