Badshahi Mosque

The Walled City of Lahore Authority has initiated the restoration and renovation work of the Badshahi Mosque. This project was commenced in December 2022 and is estimated to cost approximately 35 million rupees. It is expected to be completed by June 2024.

The Government of Punjab has assigned the task of restoration and renovation of the Badshahi Mosque to the Walled City of Lahore Authority. This includes the restoration of the internal gate (Deodi), reconstruction of the rear chamber, and waterproofing of the roofs. It serves as a cultural heritage site and a center for tourism and recreation for both local residents and international tourists.
